Small Business Grant Application

Economic Development Grants

The EDF offers grants that assist new or existing businesses with startup costs, permitting costs, or funding for minor improvements for existing businesses. These grants are available only to Gem County businesses and must provide an economic benefit to the community. Grants to selected Grantees will be limited to $2,500, with a maximum outlay per year by the Foundation of $2,500 per applicant. The EDF board may limit grant awards based on donations received and funding availability. Each grant application will be reviewed by the EDF board to determine need, eligibility, and economic impact to the community. This is a reimbursement grant. Receipts must be received no later than December 1st of the year in which the grant is approved to be eligible for reimbursement.

Grantees should make an application to the Gem Community Economic Board of Directors and obtain written approval of the grant funds before expending their own funds and expecting reimbursement.
